Epsom salts in nice bath are good for your muscles and helping them recover after exercise. I think a long soak will be in order when I complete my challenge. I have never sweated so much obviously never pushed myself enough.really need get duet on track though still grrr.
 
Problem now is my damn right knee... all that smashing about in the military, its now hurting. So I think I will be just walking my 7km today, not running.
 
I have a problem with my knees, my patella maltracks if my hamstrings get too tight it starts to pull it out of place. Walking is fine it all helps, listen to your body and see how it goes with the knee maybe its a case of stepping back little let the knee adjust to the running.

I finished my fitness challenge today, it took me 5 days the timescale was 3 weeks so i am rather happy with myself. I feel a little tired now so day off from the exercise tomorrow i think.
 
Yer, it took me a while a few years back to get my knee strong enough to run 5km straight again... I see this time as being no different.

I am really looking forward to once we've moved though and have running machines as part of our complex, as my knee doesn't hurt on those due to the dampening in them.
 
Woke up this morning feeling pretty crappy. Well with a stomache and IBS again.........

So I didn't go to the gym, not happy. After lunch I started to pick up so I chilled out on the couch and went to the gym when it opened at 4pm. Man that was hard work, really pushing the boundaries. I'm glad I did it, as I'm getting a lot of support there also. Monday to Friday every week.

And every time I feel a little better and stronger. No more procrastination for me, been doing it for too long. ;)
 
Slowing down on this forum. Went to the gym this afternoon again, find it better late afternoon. Usually wake in the morning very sluggish so by mid afternoon I feel a lot better.
Did you usual workout. 20 mins bike, 20mins treadmill and about 50 mins on the machines for arms, legs, back etc.
I find the bike and the treadmill the hardest, but it gets your heart pumping so your burning fat. So I push myself. Knees a bit sore and lower back. Will improve with time.
 
Good stuff James and Loloma. Im the opposite loloma i prefer the sweaty cardio stuff, its the strength stuff that does me find it boring. I had day rest yesterday forced self for run earlier didn't go well did 3 mile but had couple walks :(. Then went gym did 40 minutes cardio just 10 minutes on 4 different things today (Treadmill, bike, crosstrainer and stepper), then did some arm stuff. Not feeling too good hoping to do what should been longer run today on sunday, feeling really burnt out not sure if it new meds or getting ill.
 
Sazza, I can't run my calf muscles knot up on me so I only walk fast on the treadmill. Less impact on my ankles and knees. I'm an old girl, so this is my last chance to shape up and get fit.
And it's brilliant for the old noggin (brain) too.
