Hey Athletes!

Usual daily running although i missed a few runs with a tweaked back again. I am doing the foam roller and love its healing scope which I generally feel right as I am doing it.

Mostly 10-15k runs with a few long runs thrown in.

Hank comes on shorter hikes with me. He loves being outside but he loves the investigating and the smelling of things rather than my driven 'let's get from point A to point B as fast as we can...'

He doesn't ever want to slow down but I know now when he looks at me at a certain point that he is tired and then I slow it down. He's good for me because I am also listening to him and I am learning to slow things down for myself too.

That being said, I scored a battle rope - a big, long, heavy thing that I rope around the legs of my weight bench. Geeze what a crazy work out - I am really loving the core aspects as well as the cardio. I found a few good workout videos on youtube for the ropes and thinking 23 minutes looked way too easy ... was I ever wrong lol. I barely got through 16 minutes of it.

I like the battle ropes because Hank comes in curls up while I am whacking these things around - the noise doesn't seem to bother him at all which is a real bonus.

Off for a hike with Hank - the nice weather is on the way - it's a small window here between winter and summer - winter being treacherous to navigate and summer heat too brutal to do much running.
