I apologize Herc, I had thought of splitting the thread, however it became a bit complex with some members commenting on both subjects. Sometimes splitting a thread becomes a bit difficult. In any event, thank you for asking it to be brought back on topic, we do try to keep threads on topic on this forum.

My God in heaven- I got it!!!!

What self-control . . . what an absolutely astonishing funny story you told. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm so happy you can look back on it and see it as an invitation to humor. I do see that in some of my encounters.

I am convinced that the pharmacy must have been run on a Windows Server. And the electricity going out . . . oh oh oh oh , and you really peed your pats. Just too sweet!!!!!!!

Thanks for the story.

Thank you guys for not chewing on me for yelling at you for messing with my thread.

It is just that I just worked so long and it was so hard to verbally express the entire insanity of the trip to the pharmacy. I did not want it to get lost in the political crap.

Kathy, I appreciate your watching us and keeping us on track. But I don't think you could have split like you said. Hope I was not out of line with my tiny tirade

I don't think you were out of line Herc. I'm sorry for my comments also. I really don't appreciate it myself when people go off topic in my threads. I get irritated about it so I understand how you felt.

No problem and don't worry I am actually surprised at myself for speaking up I do not like confrontations of any kind and always fade away rather than stand and fight.

I don't usually speak my mind quite so firmly. I am proud of me for my little snit LOL

Good for you! I need to speak up more myself when stuff bothers me. Actually though I surprised myself just now by speaking my mind in another thread. Maybe it's our time to be more assertive! :)

Sounds like a good idea to me. It has only taken me a mental breakdown and 60 years to open my mouth and state my case, my desire, or ask for what I want

You are getting to this point much sooner. Congrats go for it

Grama-herc,
I found your story hilarious minus the politics that got involved. This happened to me once but not as good as your story. I went to get a pres filled and it showed my insurance was cancelled. Instead of the pharmisist calling my insurance, I was told to call myself. I did on my cell and hung up telling it was ok. Now, I am told he can't take my word for it. He refused to call himself. I called again and was told the error was fixed. They tried running it through and of course, you guessed not! I called again in panic as I needed it that day. Now nobody answered the phone. What a nightmare went home without it. Next day nobody knew what the problem was.

Here is a funny:
Went out to eat told the waitress we wanted 1 and a half dozen wings. Mind you she was working putting herself through college. She asked again how many? We told her a dozen and a half. She said I am sorry your going to have to give me a number. :crazy:I asked how many eggs in a dozen than add half of that. She needed a number. ( I did not say a bakers dozen) Unbelievable! Glad I didn't go to college, I learned that in elementary school.

I loved you story . . . I would have given up much sooner. well, then you had your mother in the car. I would have bugged out.

BTW - the political part ended in a fiery death in another thread. Next time anything political comes up I'm just gonna ignore it. Had nothin' to do with your wonderful story.
