Supporter Looking For Solace In My Marriage

Hi,

I live in UK and have been married 5 and half years, but recently our relationship has hit the rocks, almost ending in us splitting up.

I am going through a tough time at the moment.

My wife has been been the victim of various forms of abuse from physical, mental and sexual for about 20 years, during various stages of her life. I think she has PTSD or a complex form of it.

I hope I can find some comfort and solace on these forums and help me through my journey.

Welcome to MyPTSD forum! :)

There is an entire section for supporters where you will find the information and support you need to help you. PTSD is tough on relationships and both parties need support.

Have already posted in the supporters forum.

Wife is not a member yet, she is in denial at the moment or just to scared to face up to it, she does want to save the marriage so thats why she is going to relationship counselling with me.

We are at the start of a very long hard road, I'm hoping she hasn't got PTSD but the signs point to it, its actually more likely she has complex PTSD...
