Have you done the temperature readings in the mornings to see where your body averages out? Basal temp., I think is what it's called. Taken under the arm each morning before getting out of bed. That's one of the methods I was taught to look for in more accurately assessing thyroid issues. It helps determine if it's hypo or hyper, if I remember correctly.
I was told those were two of my weak areas when I had an iridology reading done and it was likely a big reason for my lack of energy, always feeling cold, and I don't remember all the rest of the details. That was around the same time I switched my consumption habits to eliminate meat, eggs, and dairy....three-ish years ago...as I also learned we digest the fight/flight energies of the animals we consume. I'd already had enough of those experiences myself without adding the baggage of another living being into my own biology.
After a while of still feeling more fatigue than I wanted to, and not having much energy to do necessary things, I also eliminated the caffeine, alcohol, and as many artificially processed/scented/flavored/etc. items as humanly possible and eventually had energy restored, felt better than I have in years, and no longer freeze my ass off in a perfectly warm space.
My blood work in the typical medical arena during all of those trials kept coming back "normal enough" to satisfy the doc and they didn't see a need to address any of those issues with meds. But then I learned you have to request testing that's outside of the "norm" when it comes to thyroid, hormones, etc.
It's so frustrating when you can't afford to keep going back and paying the price for office visits, additional tests, specialists, etc. Luckily, my consumption options seems to help manage many of the most crippling conditions I'd been diagnosed with. Best wishes in getting it figured out.
