Mammograms freak me out. Last time I had one, my skin blistered and I got ill for two days. Very likely all due to the stress of the process. So after my primary told me there was no alternative, I started looking. I found thermography and the soft touch breast exam. Had the procedure this morning and omg, so much more comfortable and easy. I stayed present the whole time. The practitioner was great. And now I have a report that will enable me to bypass the mammogram and go straight to the ultrasound. No radiation. No pain. No nausea. I'm going back for a full body thermography scan in a few months. That involves being totally naked in a room with a camera for 15 or 20 minutes. LOL God help me there!

I'm glad you had a positive experience. Health tests are stressful enough without being painful on top of it! I hope all goes well for you!

My breast are very very tender, doesn't matter that I am post menopausal 20+ yrs. they hurt, and the last time I had a Mammogram was maybe...... OMG, maybe 8 yrs or longer. I stopped going for two reasons. First they hurt. I don't need my breast squashed, they can do ultra sound instead. And second, they keep telling me to have lumps out. Well, I had 2 removed already and they weren't cancer, so just leave the lumps there!!!!!!

I doubt we have that technology in my area, but I will ask. Thanks!

I asked about ultrasound but was told that was for targeted evaluation. Now I have two spots that they can do the ultrasound. And the exam today was completely pain free. So excited.
