Meeting Now Well Overdue

Last April several members of the PTSD community on this forum from the UK travelled to London to meet for Lunch and a simple meeting with other sufferers.

My intention when I organised that meeting was to have similar meetings a year apart. I have been very remiss in not already having organised this years.

So therefore it is time I did.

Interested parties please append your replies to this thread and suggestions as to possible Venue, I will start with suggesting a venue, very simply I now run a Cafe myself in Devon which is in fact also a Cocktail Bar. I am open to all suggestions though.

Last years meeting was a great success so if any members are a bit nervous in attending they can take my personal assurances that there really is nothing to worry about.

This sounds great, but would it be possible to either have it somewhere more central than London or have a second one somewhere else?

It takes over 4hours to get to London from where I live.

I'm not from the UK, but would consider attending. Of course it would depend on the date and if it's easily accessible/reachable by train/plane/bus

I am a supporter, rather than a sufferer, but would love to meet up (if I wouldn't be intruding).

As with most people it would depend when and where. I'm in Buckinghamshire, and I know it takes me 4 hours to drive to Plymouth.

I think meeting sounds great! And also scary as hell. I don't think I could manage London either it would take about 7/8 hours. :(

We have a few Scottish folk here though so maybe a Scotland meet for all the Scottish people might be an idea?

I'd be up for another meeting in Birmingham. We had one there a few years back and it was great. We also had a teddy bears picnic in York which was also fun.

Good opp. for our partners to meet as well.
