verdicts? Doc wants to try me on this after having a bad time with citalopram, fluoxitine (prozac) and sertraline.
Im expecting it to be the same as the rest, is this too pessimistic? is it worth it?

I found that no cocktail of drugs worked well for me. I had good results from some but they only lasted about 3 months before they stopped helping. Some guys in here have found one drug that works and works well... Some go with a combination that helps with areas they need the most help with. Like sleep, depression and anxiety for example.

I am med free at the moment. I have been for about 6 months. My wife would love for me to get back on something. I feel good and I feel like I am in control 99% of the time. She hates my mood swings.

I know some guys in here have done eastern stuff like funky tea you have to chew... acupuncture and stuff like that. Some report success. it was pretty funny to hear about the Chinese tea mixture one guy forced himself to drink every day. Hell, if it helps why not?

I say give it a try. you can always change things if you don't like them. You never know, it might help out and make life bearable.

I had a bad time due to side effects from a few other inhibitors they prescribed me one being citalopram.
Was turned off by the whole idea. Then a doctor told me that, "In Asian culture, you are either crazy or you're not." Still don't know what to think of that. But, I agreed to try another. They put me on a small dosage of Venlafaxine 37.5mg.

Been on that for a little over a month. I get out more, care less about things. Definitely not a complete fix. But it gives me a small boost in social situations that I was seriously lacking. That mixed with talking to a psychologist.

I have a buddy who tried went through many different prescriptions before they found one that helped out.

I love me my mertazapine!!!!! It's my favorite bedtime friend lol knocks me out, very sedating!!! Other than the obvious drowsiness I don't notice anything else it does for me

The sleeping is great, but I am having trouble with side effects---difficult breathing. Trying to find the right balance, amount.

But everyone is different. Who knows which will be perfect for you?

I've been on Mirtazipine for a year. I take it at bedtime and it helps with sleep. It seems to help with the depression as well. also adds weight. Overall, it's worth it.

I have been med free since 2009. Just started having a some trouble again. But getting through it with small doses of THC. Trying to do the med free thing without masking the problem. Getting decent results. Slowly making progress. At least I'm not grabbing a beer or a shot when I've had a bad day. Use to drink really heavy, never helped things much, usually made shit worse.

I just got prescribed this but haven't started taking it yet because I'm trying to research all I can first. I know you posted this a month ago Alex any follow up feedback so far?

I take it when I REALLY need some sleep, my mental state sucks, or my pain is just killing me (only take it at bedtime). It works really well for sleep, pretty good for pain. I have fibromyalgia a chronic pain condition that doesn't respond well to most pain meds, but does well with Mirtazapine. My mental state seems to improve also when I take it. It's one of the few meds that has a shotgun effect and helps with many things.

it knocks me out for like 8 hours, so good if you have trouble sleeping.

there are otherside effects that my girlfriend isnt too thrilled about, but that happens to me with other SSRI's
Im trying it till the end of august then the doc says we will review it.

That's the main reason the doc prescribed it was help sleeping. I plan to start it soon, wanted to get through the weekend doing some research beforehand.

I take a small dosage of 15mg in a soluble tablet. I take Valdoxan about an hour before bed, then about 10 minutes before I want to sleep I take the solutab and it's goodnight Irene.

My wife calls them my 'One Word' tablets, because 10 minutes after taking it, I am speaking in single words.

The only major side effect is hunger..... It makes you ravenous I found
