Monthly Server Month Of Apr / May

To curb questions about why the monthly figure has increased this month to $410 is because there was a fraudulent donation made in the last period of $170, which has just been refunded.

The account involved has been banned... shit happens. Paypal have done their part, I have done mine, and now there is a big void in what was supposed to have been an accomplished goal for last months fees.

Thus, I have added that void to this months, covering the server cost.

In today's world, It's sad that there is as much fraud in the digital age where hosting is concerned. I am however grateful that this forum is here and that I did find it. I am glad that you do offer a premium membership which I do purchase as I see myself contributing to this wonderful online community.

Thank you so much for the administration of this website, without this site there would be legitimate people who would otherwise have nowhere to turn for support. It's terrible when people abuse a good cause for whatever reason they do, I am however glad that this issue was resolved even though it does make goals like you have set more difficult. I know that we as an online family will achieve the goal of meeting this goal even though setbacks do occur.

As donations have quickly filled the void for the issue of this current months fraud, I have changed it back to its normal monthly total and so it resets as normal on the 20th of each month... thus fixing the issue for this month so quickly.

I would like to thank those who donated to fill the void. I wish fraud wasn't something that affected us here, but unfortunately it is, and all we can do is deal with it as it occurs.

@Nicolette , I have donated, and will donate again this month. But it is for the running costs, the updates, the legalities and the technicalities that all cost money and the time and effort put in to the technical administration of the website.

For members of staff, it is part of their own journey, the same as for all the people posting, it is part of their journey too. With respect, if nobody posted here, then there would be no need for staff and the resource would fold.

The reason I am bothering to mention it, is because if I was here because I felt that I was somehow in debt to staff, then this would no longer be a place that could benefit healing and I wouldn't be here.

I hope that you respect the time and effort that people put into posting, keeping the forums going through their input and support that is offered to fellow members as well as the staff as members too. That doesn't come across in your post, although I recognise your intentions may have been good, and I do hope people will donate - but not because they feel indebted to staff or in guilt for speaking here.

Here is the simplicity of this discussion, as I've stated before - If the goal isn't met, I close the site. It is that simple. If people want somewhere to be supported, then support the resource costs to keep that support here. If not, then don't... and I close it and everyone finds something else to get support from.

I honestly don't care which way it goes... members and readers make that decision for me by whether the goal is met, or not, each month.

Everything about the costs of running this site is outlined on the donation page. Nothing hidden, no bullshit, nothing over the top. If anything, I actually have missed putting many costs on that page, which are costs that are paid for without help from members.

I do my part technically in keeping the site online. Members choose to do their part, or not. That choice is theirs. Just don't anyone whine to me if the site closes when members make that decision by taking without any giving, thus ServInt can no longer do their part because they aren't being paid for their equipment usage to handle the sites load.

My point - if we don't have the funds to cover the site along with Anthony doing all the IT work (staff) then... well, Anthony answered it above.
