Effected, affected - I could never remember those right and don't feel like looking it up.

Anywho, I'm one of those people that my motor skills are effected. Also, my epilepsy medication does that trick.

Has anyone ever called you 'slow' aka 'mentally slow' due to your PTSD side effects? Granted, they didn't know I had both. I'm just feeling a little offended by it, and wondering if anyone has had the same experience.

Thanks.

Absolutely! I often misjudge the amount of strength necesssry for certain tasks. Like picking up a can of coke as if it's a bowling ball.

My girlfriend is always first to pick at me during conversation. Trying to rush me because I'm taking too long to say something. It takes a lot more effort to articulate thought especially as of late while I work through a lengthier episode of visual and auditory flashbacks.

Yes, my world at times seems to be rushing by while I’m trying to catch up. My movements become jerky like I can’t complete the movement, or the signal from brain to body gets shorted out for a nanosecond. And yes the thought process slows too.

I had a really sh*tty couple of years when my legs didn't work properly. They were strangely stiff and weak at the same time. I had a hard time walking. I managed to, but it was awkward and painful. I was so slow that I almost didn't make it across the street during the green light. I also had serious autonomic nervous dysregulation issues, and generally was a real f*cking mess.
So yeah, PTSD can really f*ck you up in so many different ways.
