Movember

The afternoon show on our local rock station also does Movember. It is funny because they have a lot of listeners (as evidenced by their beer sales which is another story - proceeds go to the Fisher House so if you are ever in the Seattle area pick up a Mens Room Original Red) almost everywhere you go there is someone with a half grown in stache.

It is the end of the month now tho so they are mostly grown in and looking much better.

The last update for the boy and how much he has raised for his fake moustache. I believe it's by December 6th is the deadline for donations. So that amount still might grow.

Thanks Sandra,that really made me smile. I have just collected the donation tin from the local pub - total of $14.30 -looks like the cost of a beer is more important.
Canada is in front followed by Australia. I wonder how my brother went today with his appointment in West Virgina.
Had a new patient today who looks like having prostate cancer and is devestated. Had symptoms for years however didn't realise the significance.
My boys ended up woth over $1600. I am so proud of them. I think their wives will appreciate the shaving of the mo though : )

The guys from work have raised over £5000 for Movember, so far.

I say so far, because they have just done their photo-shoot for their movember naked calendar!! :p By all accounts, the shoot was a bit chilly on the willy :rolleyes: , but hopefully sales from their calendar will raise further funds.

Someone suggested that the girls should get involved with raising money for women's cancer in Fanuary :eek:

One man raised over $34,000 and another man raised over $41,000.
