A great comedy with the Senator from the Great State of Minnesota(always wanted to say that) Al Franken. Directed by Harold Ramis.

***Does have some heavy scenes in it that may trigger people. Ebert saying that "it has more courage than a lot of serious films".

I cannot and will not watch raw rape scenes be it women, children, or men. If it's an exceptional movie and I have some idea it is coming then I have no problem fast forwarding through the scene but cannot watch it - way too triggering.

I just got Net Flix so I'm game for anything I don't have access to but refuse to pay for online services. Just can't spare the money right now.

I apologize for my post sounding so gruff...I didn't mean for it to come off that way. I was responding to the post that said what are you not willing to what...

A cautionary tale.. to check the dates of availability with Netflix before taking an overnight break in the middle of a movie!

I started watching Scarface with Al Pacino, a critically acclaimed movie that I'd never seen before. I was interrupted twice for long periods due to my family obligations. After the second time I was interrupted, I sat down to finish the movie the next morning, and found that Netflix no longer offers it on instant download! Now, I'm stuck! LOL I'm close to the end... but haven't gotten to the part I was watching for...where he says "Say hello to my little friend"

I will be setting up a poll tomorrow for the movies tomorrow, so if anyone has any other movies they want to recommend now is the time.

I was also going to only use the movies people are actually recommending verse the ones that people are just talking about in the thread.

Muz, I actually rewatched Scareface...I LOVED that movie and yet my husband has never seen it, draws a blank when I quote lines from all the great movies HA! It's like throwing out comedy lines to empty room..feedback is zero, nada:speechless:. Thank God I can humor myself with these movies because I was also able to catch the Godfather trilogy. OMG...too good ;).

Harvey. Jimmy Stewart.

It is My Favorite Movie Ever.

Will be checking in on other ones - I think someone needs to be in charge of choosing and scheduling. Ayesha? You started this clam-bake (Ha ha, allusion to Harvey...:D)
