Muscle Twitches Anyone?

I have huge twitches as I am falling asleep, whole body ones as well as ones in my stomach that I never had before. I have also noticed that I have gotten numbness and tingling along with twiches in the left side of my lower face. Around my cheek and down into my jaw. That some times worries me if it is really bad. My anxiety and stress will set it off.

I get twitches in the upper parts of my arms and my thighs. When it's really bad, I get eye ticks. They're so weird and I'm worried that people are going to notice them. My fiance who just was diagnosed PTSD twitches before he falls asleep all over.

Yes sometimes wake up in the morning with them, didn't really think it was anxiety symptoms at first but recently noticed anxiety getting worse.

Be careful that this isn't being caused by any antipsychotic drugs that you are taking. Sometimes they can cause something called tardive dyskinesia which resembles shaking like a "Parkinson's patient". In fact, Parkinson's disease patients who shake are also experiencing tardive dyskinesia usually caused by the levodopa they take (Albeit in a very severe form as levodopa is designed to cause that symptom). Shaking and twitching are definitely probable signs of PTSD and you probably are just having that but just be sure to check anyway. If you are having violent tremors like that you should make sure you do not have to stop taking the medication you are on if you are on any.

My shaking is gradually coming under control, still can't eat peas in a restaurant, or paint my nails. But for the most part folk don't notice.

However in T during EMDR my right hand and arm can shake badly and also when I am triggered. Always the right side which is the damaged side.

I dont have this but husband does...it really drives him crazy too...usually at night...sometimes in his sleep...twitchy legs but seems to get less when he is managing stress well...I also heard meds might cause this but cant remember if it was his doc that said that or something I heard from another vet.

When I get nervous I shake like horribly, it's really embarrassing. It's only when I'm talking about certain topics that make me extra nervous. At some point almost everyday, I have a huge shiver-like feeling in my back and my whole body shakes really bad for a few seconds. Luckily that usually only happens in the evenings when I'm home.

I had the face and foot about three years ago really bad but was on an SSRI and xanax. On the SSRI, I also had suicide ideation and eventually was change. No suicide ideation since. I didnt even correlate it but I have not had the twitching in a long time. The twitching got worse around my sister but she would point it out. Once she even started crying at dinner asking what is wrong and that I need to see a doctor. (I had asked the doctor-he didnt know-or care with so many other physical problems). Anyway, I dont think I have them-but my sister is not here to point them out.
