I'm really sorry to hear that. My condolences to you and may she rest in peace. I used to have a cat too but he died of brain cancer 1 year ago. The happy memories of him and I are always on my mind. And I am sure you and your cat will meet together someday in heaven.

How awful. I'm playing with my kitty right now, and I would be so sad if she were to be killed like that. Animals die, as we do, but it's terribly sad when it happens. It took me years to get past the grieving of my first cat, so take as long as you need to cry and move through this.

Thank you all for your kind words, she really was the best kitty I ever had. My son and I would remark on that all the time. She will be remembered.
