My Cat's Gone Awol :-(

Oh, I am so sorry, I feel for you x
I can see the stress this is putting on you, the not knowing, and then wondering when you are on holiday if she might come back. Do you have someone that the cat knows, that can house sit, in case she comes back?
I do hope she turns up so you know, I am so sorry you are going through this *hugs* (if you don't mind, I am a big hugger)

Thanks all. My sister is coming to cat sit while we're away - she was coming to look after the pair of them, so it looks like she may just have one to look after
:-( They know her and she has also had cats of her own for years, so I trust her with them. I'll be asking that, if the missing one turns up while we're away, that she takes her to the vet to get her checked out even if she seems ok. And that she calls us straightaway with news of her return, of course! :-)

So many people we know have told us about their own cats disappearing for weeks then rocking up, so I'm trying to stay hopeful.

The thing I'm finding heart-breaking is that I keep thinking about her either being trapped somewhere or being outside lost somewhere and I think of how scared she will be. And then I start crying again. Trying not to think about it but...

She's home!!!!!

Went downstairs at 5 o'clock this morning and there she was! She was hungry and seemed quite nervous and has a cut on her leg so we'll take her to the vet today to get her checked over. She's snuggled up asleep with us on our bed at the moment.

Other cat isn't happy - acting like she's an imposter and is just hissing and growling at her and won't be near her. Hopefully they will be fine together again once they've both settled down and when everything smells right to both of them again.

Cannot even begin to express how bloody relieved I feel!

Thank you for all your kind words and positive thoughts - they meant a lot during a very difficult few days.

Think I might just cry all day! ;-)

*happy dance* that is the best news! I am so glad to hear it! Next week you will be able to go on holiday and enjoy yourself knowing she is safe at home. So happy for you *hugs*

Imagine what adventure she had (while her poor mom had a nervous breakdown!! :eek: ;) )

I'm so happy @barefoot .(She'll be ok, just keep the cut clean- you know. I find Witch hazel is great, more gentle than alcohol, good for bites/ stings/ bruises they say. In the first aid aisle beside hydrogen peroxide. :). Xoxoxoxox :hug: :hug: :hug: )

Thanks everyone. Turns out it's a burn not a cut and it's quite nasty. She's being a very good girl but is clearly in pain, fed up and not her usual self. And she and the other cat still won't be in the same room together.
But hopefully she'll be on the mend soon and the pair of them can then start to settle together.
