This seems to be a new trend among several companies. My phone does this. When there is an update available it will nag me about 3 times a day, for around 2-3 weeks. Then it will just go ahead and install itself. :meh:
For my Ipad, when it detects a new IOS update is available, no matter what I'm doing, it will download this massive file There is no way to stop it, short of turning off the wi-fi connection. There is a way to delete the download, but the instant the device is connected to the wi-fi and charge cable, it will immediately download it again. :banghead:
The bloody thing will now nag you every 24 hours, kicking you out of whatever you were doing to push a button that says "please pester me again tomorrow." Naturally, there is no way to stop it doing that.:shifty:
I wouldn't be this pissed off about it, except IOS 9 Is way to resource intensive for a 3rd gen Ipad. It's become painfully slow at everything. There is also no way to roll back. Not impressed.:bored:
The bloody samsung, oh boy....! :cautious:
Since the last firmware update, has installed a tonne of apps I won't use, but can't delete.
The most infuriating thing it began doing was, to notify me of an app optimization feature. (It does actually work reasonably well). It kept refreshing things. Very annoying to me, so I turned it off. Next day, notification about optimizer, close, next day same thing, over and over.
Finally it badgers me into turning the feature on again. New notification. Telling me I have the optimizer running.... Okay....?
Next day, same thing. It actually had a notification to tell me it was running normally. Naturally, you can't disable this notification. It gets better... After hours of google searches, I find a way to hide the notification. HA! Victory is mine.:sneaky:
Nope. Spoke too soon....
Next day.
Turn on phone. THERE WAS A NOTIFICATION TO TELL ME I HAD A HIDDEN f*ckING NOTIFICATION!!!:arghh; AARRGHH!!
Never again Samsung. Never again.
Sorry for the novel.
