Well it went fairly well at court today for my daughter. He was not there but with his mom in New York so he did a phone meeting. He wanted another continuance but she had a great judge that said no this will be settled today.
He agreed to sign the house over to her after refusing to do so for so long. Now it is a court order. He agreed to pay for her and the girls medical for a year. But she has signed up for Covered California Insurance and when that kicks in she can file for divorce and do it all herself and she never has to see him ever again.
His ill mom died during all of this. When my husband died, he put us all through so much hell, now he knows how it feels. His mom was taking care of his very ill dad and they have to figure out how to get care for his dad now. It feels like karma to me.
Thank you to all of you who supported us through this grueling ordeal that took over a year. Thanks is not enough, I do not have the words to express my deep appreciation from all of you but it is all I have.
I just feel such a huge relief. She never has to go back to court to face him again. She never has to see him ever again.
Now we do not have to worry about finding a rental that we can afford that is big enough for all of us and I can move my stuff from mobile home to here.
My daughter is already making plans to go to college and rebuild her life. Now a real healing can come to all of us.
