Dahlia, I painted this after my dog died. Two of her best dog friends died before her plus her cousin dog. Link Removed (In case you're not familiar with it, "God's golden shore" is an old American folk term for heaven.) It helped me and the others who lost their dogs and I hope this vision helps you.

Dahlia I am so sorry for your loss. I know this is late but just read your post. There is nothing that you could have done. Clearly, you did not know anything was wrong and none of us would under those circumstances. I know our pets may not be people, but often times they are so much better and we are so much more attached than with most people. They are like our children. They are our companions. They are so loyal and loving and accepting. I am glad that he did not suffer long.
