Hubby has been doing so well lately, but the attacks in Brussels this morning have really hit him hard.
Thankfully he didn't hear about it until lunchtime, and I was able to leave work early. I got home to a broken chair and broken clothes airer, but thankfully nothing more than a few bruises to himself.
He's now asleep; alternating between whimpering, snoring and shouting.
Terror attacks are his major trigger. He has a couple of other easier to manage triggers, and a host of stressors, which we can usually work through. But these are different.
And this is even worse for him as it involved the Belgian Metro. His PTSD stems from being a police officer, and one of his traumas was the bombing on the London Underground in 2005.
There's no real point to this post, I just wanted to share with people who understand how heartbreaking it is to see their loved one going through this.
And I also hope that those poor folks in Belgium affected by today's events manage to find this website, or some similar support network, to help them cope.
