That is for sure typical for narc personality type. They are usually very charming, smart, manipulative, play the hero or victim very well, and when first meeting them you think they are Gods gift to creation type of thing But at some point their true colors show and usually hinder them in some way. My mom is this way and by far the most challenging relationship I have ever had...considering cutting ties with her for good just to stop the emotional havoc. So sorry you have dealt with this:(

I'm just reading the blurb for the book on Amazon, and alarm bells are ringing in my head already.

"winning" against a narc, implies that you play their game. playing their game is a losing move.

Far better that you don't play. let him communicate with a lawyer's office, instead of talking to or messaging you.

A narc only gets to hurt us because they play on our own feelings of inadequacy and our hyper vigilence and reactivity, please concentrate on your own healing, repairing your boundaries and bonding with your child, rather than speculating about or drasticizing what your ex might be or what he might do.

I know it's easier said than done - but that book really does not look healthy
