Native speaker wants to teach you idiomatic German (Well... one really cannot complain there, huh?)

Hey,
I just wondered if any of you is interested in learing idiomatic German (or German at all) and I would love to teach you/answer your question and so on. Not right now because I should be cleaning up now but later on.

(“One really cannot complain there“, a joke that went viral in Germany in the last months... one really cannot complain there is the highest praise in Germany because Germans always find something to complain... it is a common expression... all purpose expression so to speak“).

The forum is English speaking and similar efforts, though super awesome :D and much kind of you to offer your time and skills as well as experience, did not work in the past with other languages for that very reason.

Oooh, actually I am not sure what you are trying to say...
1) That I shouldn’t be teaching you German because this board is English?
2) That other users tried to teach folks on this boards other languages but it did not work?

That the teaching may be fine, as long as it is done in English, for if it is *in* German it might be against the rules of the forum being English speaking?

I think what they were saying was that everything had to be in English as mods cannot do their job if we write in other languages......and a mod won’t necessarily know if the translation is correct/accurate, so yeah, everything has to be in English.

Sorry, @Never_falter2 - but @Ronin and @EveHarrington are correct. This forum is English-language. We don't have the staff time to moderate posts other than those in English. Occasional words and phrases are OK, but we prefer that members primarily post in english.
