Need Support And Suggestions Desperately

I have hit rock bottom today and need a crash course of reminders of coping tools to keep my mind distrac...
Get up and wash your face with soap and warm water.
Walk outside, just for a few minutes...as much as you can stand. Sometimes I go outside turn around and come back in. It tends to break the squirrel wheel in my mind for a bit.
Make a cup of tea.
Any small positive action will help to disrupt the incessant thoughts.
It can be hard cuz the thoughts are so physically draining.
A hot bath.
A small book of beautiful poetry.
Dusting.
Washing windows.
Brushing your hair.
Making the bed.
Get a kitty that you can pet.
You get the drift.
Best of all to you.
You're a valuable human being, treat yourself as such.
Sometimes it's fake it til you make it.
Peace.

Laughter can be a wonderful thing too. I know that there are some fun posts right here on this chat group website. I have always enjoyed the one about "you know you have PTSD when...."

I am so very sorry for your pain, for I am trying to get out of such a place after being harassed severely by someone that had enough knowledge about PTSD to actually hurt me with that knowledge.
Browse through U Tube, there are meditation videos on there for grounding and for EMDR. There are many different choices that a patient can explore on there and it really does help.
 
Very late joining in. @gizmo isn't amazing to read just how special and awesome you are? You're unique and so appreciated on this forum. You have so much to offer and are well known for your compassion and empathy as well as humor and fun.

No surprise at all to see everyone rally around. That's one of the amazing things about this forum. So glad you reached out. I feel so encouraged by not only the support offered but your regular feedback.

Thank you @gizmo . I truly hope that my late response finds you doing better and feeling a bit more of your self emerging again.
