Sorry, but there is no such thing as a non-lethal length of blade. Hit an artery, and it kills. There are many arteries close to the suface of the skin. Just feel your pulse points to know this is true. I'm not saying don't carry a blade (unless it's illegal) - but if you choose to carry a blade of any length, and use it, then you have to be prepared for the consequences that you could kill someone, or they could turn the weapon on you, and kill you. It may be legal to carry a blade, stun gun or CS spray where you live, but in the UK, its illegal to carry any of those things.

Hi HealingOne. You say that your teachers are aware of what he did. It is rather strange that they would allow him back to the same school as you - quite bizarre. I also feel you need an adult to stand with you to help you to deal with what you feel and to deal with him. You say he 'just glares' at you. A lot can be read into that. If you have a counsellor at the school then I seriously recommend you make a plan to see him/her if you can't get to see a therapist. Each 'little' bump or altercation you have with him or his friends should be put on record somewhere. It could be just an intimidation tactic but I wouldn't take any chances. You have hurt him so just cover your bases and be prepared for any eventuality.

It must be difficult for you and I admire you for standing up to him as you have. Just be sensible. Avoid walking around the school on your own and take the usual precautions.

I totally agree. It's just part of life. We see people who survive unbelievable odds through what one would think should be fatal injuries. and then another person may die from a simple fall! One has to realize ANY type of assault could be lethal. If you decide to get physical, you should be prepared for the possible consequences.

The fear that ANY weapon (most legal here in the US some only with permits) could be used against me has been enough so that I would NEVER consider using one. I feel especially since I tend to freeze when frightened I am very much at risk.

Is there any type of protection that one can have even if a permit may be required?

If you were only 10 or 11, I'm guessing so was he? There's something desperately wrong with him if he is abusing girls at that age. My guess is that he was either abused himself, or some really severe family problems exist, or he has some kind of psychological disorder. It could be anything, but I don't think he should be in school with you. It just seems wrong. I feel like I sound like a broken record.

If he was in "juvie" for a year he should have a record.:confused: His record might be sealed or even expunged, but he MUST have some kind of record. What country are you in? I don't believe any situation has angered me as much as yours!:furious::stomp::mad: There has to e someway to get "someone" school, police/courts/advocate, to realize that having him attend there is completely absurd!!!!!:thinking: I will keep thinking. OK, that makes sense.:rolleyes: Probably from plea bargain?:thinking: There should still be a way, IF you would feel better or want him out of there. If you had a choice would you want him gone? I know that may be a silly question, but I don't want to assume,:cool: If you do I would be very happy to keep trying to figure out how to get someone to do the right thing.
