Sufferer Negligent Discharge

Hello All, my name is Jack. On 12/04/2015 I had a negligent discharge with a 9mm handgun and shot myself in the left thigh and was hospitalized for 2 weeks. I'm having nightmares about the shooting. I need some feedback on what I should do.

The best thing you can do it find a trauma counselor that can help you processing it.

Everyone will have a negligent discharge at some point or another, fortunately you were not hurt much worse than you were.

I had a negligent discharge several years a go and put a bullet through two walls in my house.

If you don't already have PTSD, then getting into see a trauma expert on the quick can often prevent it this early in the game. The sooner the better :)

Granted, if you already have PTSD from something else, this is gonna be a helluva stressor. So getting on top of self care & managing symptom resurgence is gonna be a must.
