Thank you, guys. I really appreciate it. I just got to Walter Reed. I report in tomorrow morning and start my in-processing. and I guess I am supposed to start mental health in a few weeks.

Good news tanker! Small steps... followed by more small steps:cool:

Nothing like a nice relaxing paid vacation to start out with! the food sucks, but the r&r is a good thing. Good luck to you manno!

I just got to Walter Reed.

I am trying to visualize where they built it.... I was at NNMC Bethesda before WRAMC moved there... when you get a chance give me a rough description of the layout now... or did they just move in tha main building? cuz that was always full when I was there... (well most wards) I know looking at the front doors to the left you have what is left of the golf course with the HUGE flagpole with the anchors (lol funny story there) and of course the old hospital that FDR designed and JFK was flown to when he was shot... to the right is the parking garages....

I am thinking there was a field behind the hospital to the left of the barracks parking lots that might be where they built it...

The Army just moved in and took over. We are integrated with the Navy.

Thank you. I was admitted in Walter Reed for a while. now I am back to work and going to therapy now. this site is blocked on Walter Reeds network being classified as "Forum Communities". I am working to get the block lifted. we have a lot of wounded warriors that I think would benefit from this site.

Mate, does Colonel Charles Hoge still work at Walter Reed? If so, tell him hello from James Howden in Australia and tell him that the forum is blocked and how much it helps. Its always handy to have a Colonel on your side.

That is a good thing for sure, when your settled in we'd like to hear what is going on since you went to WRMC.
