I was diagnosed with PTSD in January 2015 after finding someone who had committed suicide at my workplace.
Life has been a rollercoaster ride since. I've been seeing a psychologist and occupational therapist once a week for 4 months. The flashbacks have gotten a bit better, but my general anxiety is still elevated, sleepless nights, nightmares and self harm behaviors are still present.
I'm starting to do a couple of hours back at work each day but I'm struggling a lot with being in that building. Lots of memories flood my mind while being there.
I'm reaching out to be able to offer support to others and to also not feel so alone with this injury.
Thanks for listening.
