Bone Gryphon

Hey there guys and gals, I am a ptsd sufferer, my symptoms are managed with anti-depressants and mood-stabilizers. I am going to a college in Australia, And am doing pretty well. I study part time and work part time to support myself, I have been on anti-depressants for about a year now and it has made a big difference in my life.

I want to know if anyone else here attends university?

Welcome to the forum. :)

It is nice to hear your PTSD is being managed. I am in college too, though I dropped out for this semester because of depression. There are a few more students on the forum too.

Take care.

Welcome to the forum!

I am a student too. I am currently working on my master thesis, which I am supposed to hand in late Febuary! I may have to postpone it, as I am not functioning well these days, but I make the most of it the days I have but a little energy. My professor knows about my PTSD and is really supportive of me :)

Nice, masters is very hard, I'm an undergraduate, I'm coming to my last year. Nobody knows I have ptsd at university its my secret that I keep this is the only place I thought I could meet with people with similar situations.

I think my function is pretty high, my grades at uni are very good as well. I work part time as well, pay the bills etc.

Thanks for the reply.

Everyone should do what feels right for them :) I just found great relieve in 'coming out of the PTSD closet' to prevent my professors thinking I was lazy etc. My grades in my masters have been awesome;) but I coulden't always meet the same deadlines or attend classes to the level of my fellow students. I am impressed that you manage to work besides your studies!:)

Yeah, I do part time work and part-time uni.

I've been a fulltime student at 75% of the fulltime load, and I worked as well at that time but that just a few hours a week, and the position was actually a student leadership position at uni.

I haven't done 100% of the full time load and work because it would be too hard to fit everything into my schedule. But yeah I am proud of myself to date haha

Hi Bone Gryphon,
