New To Site & Looking For Friends And Support

MY name is Melissa, I am a navy wife with a husband that has PTSD. The reason I was looking for group was because Dec 27th I almost lost my life and now I have PTSD as well.I am seeing a trauma therapist and have meds but I am isolated and looking for friends who may understand.

This is certainly a great place to find new friends and to share in ways we work on handling our PTSD symptoms. It's good to hear that you are seeing a trauma specialists as this will help you the most. Isolating is very common with us, so hope you will reach out and get any information/companionship needed.

There are a lot of really good articles here, so read as much as you can. I spent time in the Navy myself, so we have something in common already! Oh, and I'm also a southern girl...
