Just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to do when my spouse loses his temper?
I have tried different things like calmly talking to him to explain what's happening and offering help. Other times I just ignore him and walk away, which is definitely not the best thing to do but sometimes its either that or stand there and get yelled at. And then sometimes I stay and defend myself by telling him he is yelling at me and I am not going to take it I did nothing wrong.
A little history-he knows he has PTSD and that its affecting our marriage but has not gotten help yet. This has been going on for the 3 years we have been together, I met him after his tour in Iraq. I love him and I want to be there for him but just not sure how to handle these situations. I know a therapist would be able to help us communicate better but he hasn't gone for help yet like I said.
Any suggestions are welcome.
