Ive had old guys say what I fought was not a war. (they didnt know me or what I had done)
I have had the war for oil thrown at me and I just said so? like I have a choice about it?! Like a politician is going to take a poll from the troops about do you support me sending you to war? lol
The war on "drugs" was such a sham. Throw men into high risk situations, provide such minimum asset alocation that you risk operations and lives. require the max. with the smallest amount of help. War on drugs my ass! They could stop it if they wanted. In less than 1 week all drug shipments could be over if they wanted to do it. But they dont want it that way.

Wow, living in Berkeley I get all of those questions and more... The War for Oil.. I break out my standard on that one. "So let me get this straight. For the sake of argument, let say we ARE at war only for oil. You drive an SUV that gets 10-12 mpg across the Bay Bridge ALONE everyday to work, and you are upset because we are fighting to keep your oil prices down?" Get away from me before I insert boot into ass.

Red, I frequently think about the War on Drugs and my part in it. You and I were down in Columbia during the same period. Messed with a few guys, burned some cocaine. Eventually they got Senor Pablo...but what did that actually do? It split the cartel, caused even more fighting, and now Columbia is in even worse shape than it was before...

Mexico has turned into a blood bath of epic proportions. Once they arrested Félix Gallardo, the Mexican Cartels split up the territory and now they are trying to re-consolidate (Ala the AT&T breakup). 40,000+ people dead directly related to the drug war since 2006... It surprises me that more of it hasn't spilled over the border...

With that look only you guys would understand I tell them when they ask what was it like, I say I can not tell you but I can show you. That get the butt heads out of you way quick.

Some people who had a little sense and ask real questions I said a few things but not much. Kinda like asking someone what is it like to take LSD, no real way to describe it that means anything.

Most people have better manners that to ask questions.

I live down in SE Texas and quite a few of my coworkers have family in Mexico, my ex wife was from Colombia and her sister and her 3 kids were kidnapped and ransomed finally after 6 months in captivity. The stories Cynthia (ex-wife) and I heard led us both to believe what is happening in MX right now is exponentially worse.

In the smaller towns you have to go inside and turn out the lights at about 5pm. Once the sun starts falling below the horizon the trucks come... and if they don't kidnap you they kill you... man the stories I have heard.. If there was such a thing as a 4th world country that is where MX is headed now. Even in the money makers like Cancun and such it is starting to hit...

and lol on Senor Pablo... my ex bro in law resembled him a little... I told him that is why he left CO in case they got confused and tried to ice him too...

Sarg... more and more is happening here in Houston.. we are the main weapon supplier to the cartels.. more weapons come back across the border to be identified and found to be part of a lot of 20 AR-15's sold to an individual.. omg really??????????? Imma buy 20 AR-15s for personal protection or enjoyment? But these pawn shops and gun dealers still do it.. meanwhile I have a Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon ( a hatchback does not qualify as a trunk btw for those of you in the states... buy a lock box) and 2 DWI's so I can't own one cuz I am a danger????

The same guy that in the same week is involved in stopping a domestic incident and swimming a drowning victim to shore? well ok to the stairs but still... and it has been pointed out I talk too much so imma leave it at that...

It's funny at times what civilians say but the majority of the time it just makes me want to punch them in the face. I have heard the have you killed anybody or with me being in the air force I have heard several times so what plane do you fly? I have gotten the whole have you killed anybody to many times to count... I must admit though I have had a few people that have made me proud to serve. I had an old guy from WWII that had a hat on that said silver star on it and you could tell that he earned that silver star that thanked me for my service and I said o no I should be thanking you for your service.
