Oh Boy... He's Sooo Messed Up

I love this man so much but the better I get to know him the more overwhelmed I feel. His trauma is so big, so bad, so insurmountable.

Could you tell us a bit more about this?

I know the feeling... How can they focus on love and happiness when they can't focus on anything other than their traumas?

When I was a little girl my mum told me about someone she knew who was standing in the line in a WWII concentration camp literally being walked into the gas ovens. The guard on the door gave her a note and told her to leave the queue and take it to another guard elsewhere. She didn't rejoin the queue and the camp was liberated that evening and she survived. I distinctly remember asking how could that woman ever queue for anything ever again?

I guess that's how I feel about my man at the moment - no wonder he can't cope with everyday life. There are so many triggers. I've spent 2 years trying to smooth the way for him, but its an impossible task.
