Hi everyone,

I am coming here because I am trying to find a place where I can talk openly about my PTSD. I have gone through several forums surrounding other common areas and yet have not found people that can relate to me once I tell them about my PTSD. So I decided to find a forum about PTSD itself.

I signed up with Mahtalat. We are in love and we are both in the process of healing from our PTSD. She has helped me so much so far but I thought it would be good for us to also find a wider community of people we can relate to.

Thanks to all for listening. Looking forward to meeting people!

Hi Shamstalat :). I really couldn't resist, I saw your post, and I thought, Gosh! Should I go about and just not 'say' anything, or should I just reply! I decided to reply :).

You have helped me so much as well :). Without you I would have never realized that hurting someone who has hurt the person I love will not make anything any better! It only adds more hate to this world, and that's the least thing it needs. Rather by healing ourselves and spreading our love and healing towards other people, and our family made of animals and people we will do so much more! Because these people will heal, and affect other people, and so on :). And THAT'S what we need :).

I love you, see ya around ;-).

Hi, Shamstalat, and welcome to the forum! Glad to hear you and your partner are working on healing - sometimes having that support makes all the difference. I hope the forum aids you both on your healing journeys, as it has me.

Btw, regarding the bold text: if it's easier for you to see bold while typing, by all means, type your posts in bold. However, before you post them, please select/highlight all your text and "unbold" it before you press "submit reply." That way, the bold is still reserved for emphasis only, but you can read more clearly while you're creating and editing a response.

Anthony told me about a neat PC feature that may help if you're having vision issues. Just hold down CTRL and press + to zoom in on the screen. Pressing - instead will zoom out. I tried it - it's pretty cool!

Thanks for the welcomes!

Mahtalat you've helped me endlessly as well. You helped me realize that I am not alone in this world with a story like mine, that there are other people that understand and that have compassion and love for others. I love you so much, Mahi-jan.

Thanks for the suggestions, Mina. I use screen reader and zoom text on my computer but can only see it on zoom while bold. But I will do just that and un-bold before posting.

Hi Shamstalat (and Mahtalat) -

Welcome to the forum. I, too, have tried to find people to relate to over the years (even tried to start a PTSD group in my town) and this forum is a great source of support.

Welcome again-
-Dylan

Hello Shamstalat!

I love the title of your post... and thinking of friends who have promised "I will see the sun again..."

Best of luck and best of wishes,
