New Here
Good day everyone,
I am new here, but not new to this "disorder" as my husband has been actively fighting it for more than a year now (well, longer than that, but he had no idea what it was until a year ago). He is a combat Vet from Vietnam having served 22+ years in the U.S. Navy. When he is asked what he did, he just laughs and says "I was just a cook." (By the way he is a VERY good cook.) We have been going to the V.A. for over a year to try to get a "handle" on this and get him some good rest without the nightmares, that at times are sooo real for him that even after he wakes up, he can still "smell" the sulfer of the bombs. I am here to get some insight and maybe some ideas on how best to help him since the V.A. doesn't seem to want to help. Please be patient with me as I may have a lot of questions as we go along, and Thank You in advance! Lanits
