One Thing That Made You Smile Today?

I tried putting one cat on Craigslist and got a hit. ( I was only getting rid of her because she had medium hair and I get tired of cleaning it up) so, I was in the car with the cat, her food, her in a carrier driving to see other lady.. And took one look at my scrougie ole' cat and backed out. I called the lady and said I couldn't do it. She understood. Drove around to the next town and back. I love her.

I designed and had bookmarks made in July of last year (remember them, @ladee ?) to try to help spread awareness about the fragrance issue that can take me (and many others) down and out and keep me ill for days, if not longer. Here's a pic of them...

I ordered some really nice pamphlets that go into much greater detail about the toxicity of fragrances and shared a few of my bookmarks with them when I sent my check. Today, I got a call from a lady in a different state than mine who wants to order 100 of them. ?

Yay! Awareness will now be expanded into yet another state, hopefully making it possible for us to one day be able to breathe much easier. I don't ask for any money over the price of production and shipping, and never would. I just want folks to please stop poisoning themselves and every other living being they come into contact with. We had such a great conversation, too. Grateful for the unexpected rays of sunshine.

I forgot about this thread. I love it. Thanks to whoever started it and most recent post

I saw a tiny little finch fly into a hollow knuckle on the brach of the tree I visit each morning

Also the stillness I felt meditating and being able to hear the birds so clearly I felt like I was in a forest full of them!

Many people including my late sister said that I very seldom smile, which is true. I tend to laugh more than I smile and I don't know why. What made me smile today... was an image of a golden retriever making friends with a little kitten.

I went through my mom's antiquated sewing machine drawers and found material and elastic that can be used for making masks. I reached out and found someone local who was desperately trying to get more supplies to make masks for her son-in-law who is a nurse.

I hung the bag of materials outside for her to stop by and pick up from a safe distance. I learned he's a nurse in Illinois and they aren't supplying them with what they need, so he's been wearing his winter masks and washing them frequently. Wow. How scary for staff and patients alike.

Mom would be tickled knowing her decades old materials that are still in good usable shape are being put to such a good use. I visited her memorial by the stream to let her know. That's two states our stuff is venturing to this week in order to help others.

Albeit two very different scenarios/causes, it still fascinates me that something that seems small scale to us at the time of acquiring them can be so large scale and incredibly helpful to others. Ripples of our actions and such, be it intentional or otherwise, reach much farther than we think.
