Love this, it always makes me smile and gives me a chuckle or 5. There is a whole series of these commercials in case you're interested. I like Bad Hair Day and Turn Signal as well. Pretty cute.

A memory. I've been watching the gang of squirrels who run riot in the yard beneath my window and it reminded of a time when I walked out of my apartment one day and turned right to walk toward my car, and about 20 squirrels all turned and stared at me. I remember having the oddest feeling come over me and thinking I'd stepped into a reality that was a cross between Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" and the movie "Ben." That, or I'm just really paranoid? No, really, all of them were staring at me. Unnerving then, rather funny now that my mind would loop out like that. I still keep an eye on them when I'm on the sidewalk though. ;)

Inappropriate smile but was caught quite off guard. Couple days ago a neighbor's "significant other" came to the door sayin' he lost his phone and could I call his cell so he could find it. I did a couple times. Fast forward to a loose dog in the neighborhood (one I'd never seen before with no collar). After seeing it leaving... 3 hours later got a bottle of water and a couple of treats to check the dog - no collar. Asked the neighbor on my side what to do... and got hailed by "lady across the street" (my age but in dire straits for health issues with a "met him at Walmart" boyfriend with a record" and ALL the neighbors think he's got problems other than just taking advantage of her.

Brought the dog over, and told her I'm glad to bring it over and got "told off" and accused of "stealing her man" and to "just leave".

Uh... HUH? What? Told her what happened two days before but she said "My man told me what happened and I believe him". To which I replied, "I been with the same guy for 34 1/2 years AND I'm with my mother almost all of my time" (and I'm thinking - thus the inappropriate smile - AND I have a sexual dysfunction and am celibate in marriage you idiot!).

Crazy azzed situation and rather ironic since I've checked on her after open heart surgery, brought her over cookbooks just for diabetes and stuff. Was totally flabbergasted at first but.....

Okay God has a sense of humor and yeah even "regular" people can get a case of the absurd.

My other neighbor saw the whole thing and thought it was funny as hell. Mister is gonna have a talk with the "boyfriend or husband" and that ain't gonna ever happen again.

The old me would have just blurted it out, "Honey I'm blah blah blah and I don't even see people that way cuz I've got XYZ.

Mister laughed his ass off too and that just made me appreciate how it really is pretty funny. Geeze, ya THINK ya know people huh? But progress for me was not airing my baggage to a nutty neighbor who thought I'd be interested in a good for nothing felon who's leeched of her for the whole time I've lived here. I swear though I think they're on more than Rx meds.
