Our Pets

Thank you all so much @Junebug, @Nighthawk @Recovery4Me @Britt.f7 @KP the nut! I'm very thankful for your good thoughts and your loving lights. But unfortunately it's not over yet...

We had to rush to the vet again yesterday; Because my other dog started to show the same symptoms. And they are even more severe on him. So he already two times collapsed, because his bronchias and his throat are that inflamed, that he sometimes almost suffocates. It's horrible to see foam coming out of his mouth and nose and hear him desperately fighting to get air in his lungs. His beautiful brown eyes staring now at us full of fear.

My other dog is a bit better now. But he still needs strong anti inflammatory medication and antibiotics. Because he too, still fights with this vicious infection of the bronchial tubes. If I might ask you again for your good thoughts and lights?... Thank you for everything you did for us and the little chaps.

@TreeHugger ...when I am fighting serious infection within my animals, I make chicken soup from scratch. I chop up the meat real fine after roasting in the oven with water added in the pot, add a little tiny bit of cooked rice, small amount of cooked carrots, take all the chicken broth, a few diced cooked green beans and then place together in a blender (if they are too sick to eat). Feed with eye dropper if necessary. Every 4-6 hours during the day small amounts. For about 3-4 days until they are getting their strength back or their noses are wet again. If funds are tight buy fryers (cheaper).

Run a humidifier or boil water (low) in a big pot. If they are gasping (like kennel cough or fur ball hack) take them outside briefly if the air is crisp and cold and it has seemed to help the hacks for my dogs with infections. Then wrap them back up with a blanket when you bring them back in until they wiggle out.

Chicken soup has saved horses (yup it was the carrots that helped it go down), cats (no carrots for them)and the lives of several of my dogs after the vet shook his head. You can laugh or say no thanks...it is cool. Just wanted to offer a family trick.

@Britt.f7 I am so glad to hear it!
Dogs can benefit from carrots (it does actually helps their eyesight) cats do not. A small amount in the food allows you to moderate from the stool when it passes through as it is orange. The reason being is this is how you can figure out if the rice is too much and then working in reverse & binding them up.
Dogs get colds too. Glad you love your fur babies and speedy recovery.

@TreeHugger ...another prayer for your babies too!
