Kimberley, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my last GSD last May and I still miss her terribly!!! But, the house was just too quiet without a fur-baby so I dove into the puppy thing again. It has been 14 years since having a puppy and my little boy keeps me hopping. Literally. He likes to try and bite my feet...

(((((((((((Kimberly)))))))))))) I understand that type of loss, it's so incredibly rough, I have Big Girl and Rudi, thankfully but my sweet Susie took me through nearly 15yrs and I'll always miss her.

Just look at those trusting eyes, is it Big Girl? I can see how you can relate . :) Our trusted companions, they may be spiders, cameleons, horses or dogs, - they are the best.

That was just a beautiful poem! Did you write that??

I had the very difficult decision with my Susie in that way, she hung on for a year and half with Cancer treatments but came that time one morning and I knew, we both knew. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. She had been with me through so much. I couldn't imagine my life without her.

Big Girl came to me right after. My friend drove next straight through when she heard I was picking up Susie's ashes. We had Rudi already, my husband's little dog, but we had asked her to pick out a large girl at the rescue and begin training her. Big Girl is almost twice Susie's size but and darker. Very different personalities but she is my Girl too :)

I have a beautiful kitty named Muffin. She is very loving and has learned to put out her paw when she wants to be petted or fed

I have a kitty named Muffin. She's very loving, but not a lap cat. She loves to be near and able to see me or my husband. She sleeps at my feet and waits patiently for me to get up in the morning to feed her.

My other pet is a bearded dragon named Finik. I know it seems like a strange pet, but he is very much a people pet. He usually spends his days with me either on my shoulder or in my sweater. He loves the warmth and the heart beat.

Thanks Marie E. The most theraputic thing about her is her fur. It's like rabit fur. Petting her is a delight.

I know the feeling. Had to find a home for my big girl. Yeh I know she isn't dead but not being able to have or see her anymore is still ripping me apart
