I have an orange and white cat we call Sparkles(shelter named him and the boys wouldn't let me change it). On my very ill days, physically, he'll follow me around and watch me. If I go sit on the porch, he will cry by the door.

I have a terrier mix, Buddy (son named her), who, when I am desperately sad or crying, will come over by me and stare at me, even whine, until I let her sit in my lap for lovins.

I can't imagine being without them.

Monster are they great danes? Can't totally tell. I had a brindle dane who died from bloat when she was four. Went to sleep and never woke up. We have a picture of her trying to lay above on the back of the couch like the cats did, after I had surgery. When she was afraid she would crawl under my desk where I was. When she got big, she still did it and my desk would get lifted. Tried to tell her she was too big for that but she didn't think so. :)

This is me and my great dane, Zoe. I had just had surgery and she had to be near me. She never thought she was big, she always thought she was petite. This was many, many years ago. Unfortunately she is no longer with us.

This is Sparkles. He is nearly always sleeping and he likes to mush his face into things when he does. He is my cuddle buddy for naps and at night.

I Have puppy fever! I want a puppy so bad! Sigh....

I always love puppies, until I get them home and have to poddy train them. Then it's not so fun and I appreciate the animals I adopted that were already trained.
