Pain During Intercourse

OP HERE:
I will add "visit the gynaecologist" to my list of new years resolutions.. It might take me 6 months but i'll get it done.

It could be psychosomatic since there are other unpleasant physical / emotional reactions I also experience during intercourse, which are all associated with past traumas. Although none are painful like this.

Cysts are also a possibility. I know I have had small cysts show up on scans before. I also have a lump on my cervix which comes and goes but haven't had it checked either..

That's definitely cervical pain. I get it at certain points during my cycle when my cervix is lower (yes, it moves a bit) but also in certain positions. Do get checked out, though, because if it's becoming a constant thing it could be a medical problem.

GYN appointments are rough. I have had to see one when I wasn't emotionally ready for it. One thing that helped me was to understand that if there is a medical problem, I would need fewer gyn appointments overall the sooner I got checked out.

Still tough to do, no doubt about it.
