Paperwork for service dog is now done

Ok so as of today, I finally got my application plus all of my references sent off so that I can get an interview and see whether I am approved. I am extremely afraid I won't be approved, but my therapist has told me that just applying and asking for something I need is a huge step for me, plus there are other places I can apply if this one denies me. I really feel like a PTSD service dog would help me gain my life back. The place I am applying at specializes in PTSD and medical service dogs. The breed will be a German Shepherd, which I love. Just hoping and praying I get accepted...

I just came back home from training with my new PTSD service dog for 3 days. It is tough and more training to be done, but he is a sweetheart and hope that he opens some doors to more freedom for me. I wish success for you!

Congratulations for the steps you've accomplished! I hope everything goes well and you will get one. You can always appeal if they turn you down. Fingers are crossed, toes too!

Thank you. I am hoping to get one from the program I am applying with because they are non profit and they don't require payment, although I will do fundraisers for the program probably for years to come if I get the dog.
