This was taken at our old family cabin built in 1955. As you can see the dogs pretty much have free reign.
I think the conversation between the dogs went something like this. “There’s that squirrel Stanley. When I give the word we rush him” ?

Them rabbit holes get a little tricky to navigate at times, that's for sure, @Fahrenheit451 . Good to see you, and your pups, back in the 'hood.

Speaking of pups/canines, here's the variety of one that was in our 'hood today. Mr. Coyote trots pretty quick, so I didn't get as good of a shot as I wanted in my rush to grab the camera and try to focus through the window. Apparently having clean windows doesn't guarantee a more clear shot - can't use that excuse anymore....lol:

Realised I'd never really seen pictures of coyotes, they look quite similar to a fox to me though wikipedia says they are closer to wolves. Cool to see!

Good to be back. How about we start the day with a few bird pictures.
This first striking fella is a Bufflehead duck.

This swallow was nice enough to pose for me on her branch.

This is an Evening Grosbeak. Or as I like to call them “Angry birds”.....lol

And finishing with a nice fly by from another dapper looking swallow.

Grateful for the rain that watered the garden shortly after this ominous looking cloud arrived:

Rainy day vittles - vegan beyond burger topped with vegan smoked provolone, kale and spicy microgreens, red onion, fresh picked lettuce, sliced tomato, dijon mustard, ketchup, and veganaise on a g/f vegan bun served with steamed brussel sprouts and garlic/rosemary butternut squash fries:

The snail I found snuggled under the kale - I'm diggin' the "spiral out" reminder on the shell:

Yummy carrots in the raised bed:

The first of the ripened sun gold cherry tomatoes a.k.a. to me as nature's sweet candy (taken with the flash on so it lights up all the sparkles - which then makes me think, shine on you crazy tasty nature diamonds - lol) - these are growing in big pots:

Soon-ish to be a yellow bell pepper - also growing in a pot:

The sun, the trees, and the mountains - just a few of my favorite things - as another interesting day draws to an end:

This very cute bird is a Lazuli Bunting. Had to take it through the window as they are very skittish.

And the last guy today is a male Canvasback duck.

What camera do you use, @Fahrenheit451 ?

I’ve got a Nikon D500 with series of lenses. The big lens below is a 200-500. It’s a fantastic set up for wildlife as it has an accurate autofocus system and can take up to 10 pictures per second. Which just means when I make a mistake I get 30 bad pictures instead of 1......?
