These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago. Momma started 11 nests under our deck. She’s in the first picture. She even built a huge one which was kind of funny as it was way to big for her. She eventually built a smaller nest next to it and had 4 babies. They’ve all grown and left. The neat part is she’s come back and is having more kids. Because my deck just has regular boards on it my wife was worried they would get wet. So a “suggestion” was made that I should put a big piece of plywood on the deck over top of them so they’ll stay dry. Those birds owe me big time. ?

It looks like she's calling back to her crew to let them know more apples fell off the tree - "Yo! The apple buffet is open! Y'all c'mon over!"

Wow, our garden is late this year because of a really wet spring. Looks great.

Thank you. We've had great luck, so far, except for the cucumber starts we got from a local farm. We just planted some seeds the other day and they started reaching up through the dirt today. Yay! Fingers crossed these do better. May yours do well, too!

Meanwhile, the yellow squash, zucchini, and beets are rockin' and rollin'. Planted more beet seeds, too. This is a basket I filled up and delivered to a neighbor/huge hearted human today. She brought me starts of several herbs and veggies in that same basket months ago and I wanted to return it, but not empty. Mom taught me never to return a container to someone empty after they shared something in it with you:

What a great start to the day. First a pair of Bald Eagles sitting in a tree and then this Red Tailed Hawk showing off his plumage.

Well my apologies. After looking at this picture later on my big computer I realized he’s a Swainson Hawk and not a Red Tail. Enjoy.
