Taken on my way to the dentist today - some frozen leaves, a cool cat (who ran away when I walked closer to it) and some pumpkins.

Visited the heart shaped memorial with a smiley face that I made with rocks next to the mountain stream after mom passed away. I had to dig under some leaves to see it.

Time spent by the stream is one of my favorite ways to reconnect with my heart space. My head space is damn grateful for the break.

@Fahrenheit451 - was wondering do you ever play around with your photos - like if you applied a black and white filter over that snow field. Or even a grey and white filter. Might be amazing what results you could come up with.

When I started photography years ago I decided to keep things pretty much as I see them. I’ll crop and maybe sharpen a photo but other than that I don’t touch them. That way when I look at some of my pictures years later they look exactly like what I remember in my mind. And I don’t usually share them. Apart from entering a local fair, this forum is the first time others have seen my stuff. :)

You can keep the original just the way you took it. Most programs allow you then to apply filters and mix it up whatever way you want to, saving what you like and dismissing what you don't. It just lets you play around with the images whilst not destroying the original. Lots of fun. :)

You're right, I probably could. But I've seen too many people editing the heck out of poor pictures to make them look good. So I decided to push myself and take better pics instead of relying on my computer. Its become a matter of pride for myself. I use these pictures to help me after severe flashbacks or when I sink into depression.
