It can be the worst day and then I see herons and I'm good. Momentarily, anyway. Saw the beaver again briefly, and then I saw two green herons and a blue heron. I'm experimenting with photos in flight, so this one isn't great, but...

A view we got used to very quickly and would never get bored of. Just over an hour away from home, I’m so lucky to live in Scotland

That’s the PacNW (USA) in Aug/Sept.

The rest of the year? My brother and I bet a nice bottle of whisky on whose weather is worse (Leeds, Eng to N.Scotland). Most years? I “win”. Some years? He does. In preschool? My own kid didn’t know the sky “is” blue. Here? It’s not. It’s white & grey.
