Plank Challenge!

Okay, so I am completely determined to have a flat belly. @Simply Simon suggested I make a thread for planks :D here we go:

First week: plank for thirty seconds (or 45 if you're up to it) in the middle and both sides. Remember to breathe, trust me. Stretch right after and at the end of the week try to push yourself to do one session of it early in the day and one session of it later in the day.

Second week: plank for a minute. Middle, both sides. Remember to breathe and stretch. Try to push yourself to do two sessions by the end of the week.

Third week: plank for two minutes (or one and a half, whatever you are more comfortable with) on middle and both sides. Don't forget to breathe and stretch.

By the end of the month, try to take it up to five minutes. It's totally okay if you can't, because I've never made it that far myself :D lets do this!!
 
Yay! I have planked for five minutes... it will make you :dead: at first but :woot: later.

So excited! As the Flaming Lips once said, "The test begins... now."
 
Side note! Don't forget to stretch your core and your back. Working out both helps maintain a stronger core and avoids back issues (:
 
How does one "plank?" I'd like a flat belly too, because it is the part of me that is fat, the rest of me is nice and slender! However, I have no clue as to what planking is!
