Possibly after speaking to your T there will be a med change more targeted to the problem.... and by the...
Thank you very much I really appriciate it, things been so hard at the minute and my T has gone on sick leave for a month and i have only just started trauma therapy and still can't even admit it happened to myself and that's why I have come onto this place to try and get help while he is away.. can all these horrible images/memories/fake memories/ whatever they are be stopped and can I get back to normal which I don't even know what is anymore. Everything is just weird.. life doesn't seems real at the minute it's just so strange and shit

well, I have no concept of 'normal' as I have had this my entire life.. but things do get better and different... takes work and commitment and times you will get very sad and angry that you have to do this work to begin with...but being here and sharing will help a lot... a good place to be, ,where we understand and you know you are not alone in how you feel and think....

Feel free to share what you need to or ask questions, we will try our best to help and let you know you aren't crazy. We have crazy days, but we aren't crazy..... it just feels that way sometimes.... sorry your T is not able to talk with you right now. That's hard if you have just started therapy..... if you feel you need something in the mean time, come here and share, or call a crisis hotline... you can start a diary here to put your daily thoughts and others do read it, so if you need help.ask....

Better to start at thread about what is going on, or try reading the many many threads we have here... if nothing else it will help you to understand your feelings better and know that we do make progress...

A big place with a lot of caring and validation.... hope to see you around !!!

This is a one of a kind support forum. Articles to read. Every topic you can imagine related to PTSD. We even have fun threads.
A good start is reading the community constitution. It just explains how it works.
Very happy you are here.

Hi @Deadman! I experience my "noises in the head" since my early childhood. (I'm a survivor of the insane violence of my super loving darling mother....). It's about 10 years, since was diagnosed with PTSD... (Oh, and I don't take psych meds!) - But it does make a big difference, whether I'm overtired / exhausted / in a poor mental state = experiencing massive and loud noises in my head / ears.

I have that too. My psychiatrist says it's a form of flashbacks and advised me not to mention it to non-trauma specialists. I've found when my symptoms are more intense, so are the sounds. Sometimes it sounds like Walter Cronkite muffled. Sometimes traffic. Sometimes space like muffled house music. Totally not uncommon with ptsd

I have that and then I find I get angry and my temper goes but I say too much and it's not what I wanted to say it just becomes nasty
