Ok so Im doing everything Im supposed to be doing to get better according to drs. Meds, emdr therapy, meditation, put my business on hold. Im trying to get back to a sense of normalcy. I have been putting myself in situations that would normally trigger me and doing somewhat ok. It is helping. Scary but I just tell myself 5 more minutes until its over. Sometimes makes me stuck in the werird foggy place for hours after but I am able to bring myself back.
Whatever it was that used to cause a full on panic attack is getting better. I feel a sense of accomplishment. I took my daughters to a birthday party yesterday at peter piper. I have bad social anxiety and dont do well in crowds and go frozen. I freaked a little but kept functioning.
My mother in law is diabetic and got hurt, shes staying with us, I got a needle for her, I actually touched it and was going to help her inject it. My own mother was a junkie and overdosed multiple times, anytime I see one of those needles with the orange tops put me in a full on flashback.
Point of my story is this. It is a struggle every day. But every time I do one of these things It hurts a little less. The confidence I gain helps get me through. I am not recommending this but just thought it may help someone else..
