my point was that Evie's question about going off topic was even more relevent right now because of the changes on the forum and the statements about those changes - that was all i was trying to say but obviously i am not communicating well enough here either - sorry, Evie.

Please no more apologies to me from anyone!! It's making me feel guilty, and like I'm drawing attention to myself, which I hate. I'm not upset with anyone. I'm just tired and ill. And sick of this thread, it's really embarrassing me now.

Yes, we should all "try" and avoid taking a thread off topic, even our own. We all do it, yes; though we must try to recognise our act and change our own course of action by creating a new thread and reference the existing one that created the thought, etc. If any member wants their thread split because they feel it has gone off topic, by their doing or another's, just PM me and I will process it.
