I watch/read a lot of SciFi. This is the very FIRST time I have seen this very real quote come up in a time travel… anything (book, show, etc.)… set in the US.

((Not 100% true, there were 2 (and a half) veeeeery brief time periods, in 2 different areas… STOMPED ON , as soon as the federal govt. got involved… which makes it 99.999bar percent true. Aka. It’s just f*cking true. And IDFK why it’s not a more prevalent theme. Shrug.))
