I had to post this here. I'm very, very bad at consistently taking meds, and my first and last attempt last semester ended with me accidentally locking three unused prescriptions (I was afraid to tell my doctor about how bad I was at taking them. I went on two trips where I just forgot to bring them, too. And I didn't fill my first prescription for 3 weeks. >.<). My anxiety was so bad that I was afraid to call my psychiatrist and tell him.
Now it's been three weeks since beginning my meds and I'm off to a great start in consistency and diligence. I'm finally up to 75mg, which is when I generally see improvement, and...
I haven't had nightmares in three nights! And I haven't had trouble with panic attacks while falling asleep, and I don't cry first thing in the morning or stay in bed for an hour. I've been taking an interest in grooming, and I'm excited to be productive in my schoolwork this weekend (and I'd better be; finals next week!).
I still suffer from mood swings, but am no longer depressed every waking moment, and I am addressing my emotions better as they arise, taking plenty of time out for Me and keeping stressors under control. I should be up to my regular dosage in weeks.
Yay!
